It uses a 100mm half-ball bowl mount for heavy duty support, as well as a 13-step counterbalance system that is rated for loads between 6 and 39 lbs.

There is a 7-step drag adjustment on both the pan and tilt movements to dial in the perfect amount of smoothness to your shot, including a "0" setting for nearly frictionless movement. For convenience, there are tapped holes on either side of the head to keep extra plate mount screws, or use for accessory arms with monitors or audio gear. Another nice feature is the measurement scale that is laser cut into the top surface of the head so you can adjust the plate to just the right spot. Combine that feature with the bubble level,and you can be assured of an easy to use and perfectly level setup.
