RODE has thrown down the gauntlet when it comes to wireless lav mic technology, and we couldn't be happier. This system has pretty much everything you could want in a 2-person setup, so let's get into it!

You can use the internal mic built into the transmitters, or plug in the included Lavalier II mics to the 3.5mm input jack for more discreet mic placement. But either way you go, you can expect great sound and clean audio from the omnidirectional pickup pattern. you can also select from two levels of low-cut filter to remove unwanted handling or wind noise.

The wireless receiver is where the real magic happens. First on the list is the 32-bit float recording combined with what RODE calls "Intelligent Gain Assist". These two things make setting gain manually a thing of the past. The 32-bit float virtually guarantees that your signal will not be clipped, giving you piece of mind on set that your precious audio will be captured beautifully.. Also, this receiver features 32 GB of internal recording to go along with the output sent to your camera. You can think of this as a backup audio track just in case there's some kind of signal drop out or in the rare case of interference. Why don't all wireless lav systems have this?!? It's incredible.

Powering all of these units are internal lithium-ion batteries rated for approximately 7 hours of continuous use. The charging case also has an internal battery which can recharge all three packs up to 2 times. So that means if you have a full shoot day, you can shoot all morning, plug everything in to charge over lunch, and then continue shooting all afternoon and into the evening...all without needing an outlet! It's hard to overstate how helpful this is. When it's time to recharge the case, it's as simple as using any USB-C compatible wall plug. (or external battery if you're off-grid).

Signal output from the receiver is handled in one of three ways (all of which are included). You can output a digital signal to a Lightning-compatible device, a USB-C port, or via analog using the 3.5mm-to-3.5mm cable. In addition, there is a headphone output jack so you can keep track of the recording and make sure everything sounds just right.
