Say goodbye to clipped audio.

"Excuse me?", I hear you saying. Yeah. It's true. Using the floating 32-bit recording option on this recorder allows you to capture and keep audio that would end up being clipped on nearly any other recorder. It's basically like magic, only there are no fairies required.

No fairies, only dedicated engineers at Zoom. Using dual A/D converters, they've created an amazing recorder that is sure to make you the hero on your next production. They call it capturing "the calm AND the storm", and it works extremely well.

You get 6 inputs, all with their own dedicated gain control knob and FANTASTIC low noise (-127 dBu) and high-gain (75 dB) mic preamps. Each of those inputs can support +48V phantom power when needed.

This unit is small, but built incredibly tough. Its size allows you to tuck it into a small bag or even use the included mount to go directly on the bottom of your camera (with its own 1/4-20 female thread so you don't lose your tripod mounting capability). You'll know you're using a professional piece of gear while operating it due to the high quality fit and finish. You can power it with 4x AA batteries (internal), but it also has an L-series battery plate for using those ubiquitous Sony batteries that always seem to be on set. Last but certainly not least is that you also get a dedicated timecode generator that is temperature compensated (TCXO). Now you can easily keep everything in sync.
