First, let's cut to the chase: This lens is a game-changer. It's enough that it is the first constant-aperture f/1.8 zoom, but the thing that should really make you sit up and take notice is how GREAT this lens is when it comes to image quality. If you are using an APS-C body, you really need to use this lens. It's phenomenal.

If you've been renting from us for a while, we stuck to the "major brand" lenses for the first several years of the business because we felt that the 3rd-party lens manufacturers weren't really up to par on the quality and durability our clients expect and require of us.
