The XDCA-FS7 Extension Unit adds great functionality to an already feature packed FS7. This expansion pack allows you to capture 4K RAW with a compatible RAW recorder at up to 60fps and 2k RAW at up to 240 fps, and also provides Apple ProRes encoding. On top of those juicy additions, the expansion pack also provides an attachment for a v-mount battery, additional XLR ports, and doesn’t need any cables to connect to the FS7 since it attaches via a multi-pin connection. Just know if you’re going to shoot RAW you’ll also need the HXR-IFR5 Interface Unit and a compatible recorder.
