6K? Yep, it's got it. 4K60? Of course. 4:2:2 10-bit color? Naturally! 120 fps at full HD? You betcha. Honestly it's tough to come up with anything they've missed with this camera. It's a filmmaker's dream come true. Whether you're shooting a doc, a short, a music video, or anything in between, the Panasonic S1H is up to the task. You'll get 14 stops of dynamic range and also some impressive gamma settings, including built-in V-LOG. Noise is kept under control by using a dual native ISO setting. In-body stabilization accounts for 6 stops (!!) of compensation when using stabilized lenses.
From a usability standpoint, the stand outs on this camera are its deep grip and tilt/swivel 3.2" screen. Beyond that, you get dual card slots (both UHS-II capable) and a weather-sealed magnesium frame. In addition, you can look forward to easy mobile device connectivity via Bluetooth and wireless options. Here's one of the coolest features: the S1H has a built-in fan to allow for unlimited video record times. That is a massive benefit over nearly every other mirrorless and DSLR camera.
Bottom line: This is a great choice for the discerning filmmaker looking to achieve stunning image quality and usability in a compact form factor. You will not regret renting this one.
