First things first: This latest generation remote is designed to work with the Hero 9 Black edition, Hero 8 Black edition, and Max cameras only. If you are using an earlier camera, this is not the remote you are looking for.

It can connect up to 190 feet away in optimal conditions, and is waterproof to ~15 feet (although the working distance is SEVERELY degraded in water). One of its best features is that you can control up to 5 cameras at the same time, so if you have a shoot with a bunch of different angles, you can control everything right from your hand.
