This is a great wireless lav mic kit that gives you the ability to capture two different inputs on the same receiver. Incredibly handy for interview setups, talking head videos with two presenters, or even a wedding where you can mic the bride and groom. Both inputs go into a single receiver, which allows you to run a single line out. This is a huge benefit to DSLR and mirrorless camera shooters, since those cameras only have one audio input. We also supply the CVM-DS-XLR output cable with your rental, so if you have a dual-XLR capable camera, you can easily split the audio signals however you want (e.g. Stereo or mixed-mono).

Instead of the hassle of AA batteries, this kit has built-in 2000 mAh lithium batteries in both transmitters and the receiver, giving you up to 8 hours of power depending on use conditions and settings. In addition, you can plug a power pack into the micro USB port on the bottom of the unit and record all day. Speaking of power, the rated line-of-sight working distance is over 300', and it's even rated for 200 feet in non-direct settings. You get 96 channels of UHF frequencies, which basically guarantees that you'll find an open channel for crystal clear transmission. But don't fret - you don't have to manually scan through all those channels yourself. The transmitter will automatically scan them and choose the best one each time. It's a little like magic.

Adding to this list of features is the fact that you can monitor the output in real time via a 3.5mm headphone jack on the receiver. Many wireless systems don't have this function, which can create some real problems if there's an issue during recording and you don't realize it until after the shoot is finished.

The rental kit includes 2 omni-directional lapel mics with foam windscreens and secure clips for attachment to the talent. The omni pickup pattern means that you have more freedom with how you mount the mic to your talent, with consistent output levels even if they turn slightly away from the microphone.
