Canon really upped their game by trying something creative and unique! While you might feel like you’re missing some wide angle, you’re making up for it with aperture speed… and sharpness, and focus speed, and quality. Is this new lens trailblazing the path for others to follow? Only time will tell, and so far we’re pretty impressed!

The Canon RF 28-70 f/2L touts superior image quality with Ultra-Low Dispersion glass to reduce chromatic aberration and deliver impressive color accuracy and clarity. With a minimum focus distance of just under 1.3”, you can get real close and personal with your subject. This standard zoom lens does just about it all!

While this is a bit of a brick of a lens, wedding and event photographers are going to be excited to have this as a part of their kit! You might notice that this lens doesn’t have the image stabilization built in like some of the other RF lenses, but at f/2, you don’t really need it. We love experimenting and playing with the new RF Control Ring that allows you to easily adjust customizable settings from the lens itself. Canon really brought their a-game with these lenses for their mirrorless cameras and we have a feeling that you’re going to become just as obsessed as we have.
