An old mentor of mine had a great saying: "Hear me now, believe me later". Only he was German, so it came out more like "...believe me lay-tuh". Anyway, it absolutely applies to this piece of gear. So hear me now: You do not lose ANY quality by adapting EF lenses to an RF body with this adapter. None. Nada. Zip. Zilch.

"But how can that be" I hear you asking. You're probably used to dealing with (or at least hearing about) 3rd party adapters that don't work very well at all. Well, that's because 3rd party companies have to reverse engineer both sides of the system in order to make them talk to each other, and that's always a compromise. Reverse engineering is never as good as forward engineering. Everyone knows that. Since Canon designed the lens, the body, and this adapter, they know exactly how to get the best performance out of every part in the chain.
