Canon has taken the excellent optics of their L-series 14mm lens and given it the CN-E treatment. Like the 5 other CN-E lenses, the 14mm Cinema Prime has 300º of focus rotation, 36° aperture rotation, as well as the same focus and aperture ring positioning as their other CN-E lenses. A beautiful wide angle prime, the 14mm T3.1 is a wonderful piece of glass. It can also cover a full frame 35mm sensor as well as super 35mm sensors. Canon also made sure that the 14mm keeps focus breathing to an absolute minimum, pretty much eliminating it altogether. That comes in handy for when you’re shooting in volatile temperatures, which also means you’ll probably be taking advantage of the lens’s weather resistant qualities. Good on ya.
